A product for their girls side of their offerings is the ChicBoom keychain 1.25" cube lithium-ion rechargeable speaker. The cube is avaiable in several fashionable colors with animal themed sides including chetah spots, and zebra stripes. The speaker opening itself is a heart shaped cutout that has a colored edging (blue, white, etc) and has a standard loop keychain attached tot he unit. It supports an on/off switch, a microusb style power connector and a standard 3.5mm headphone jack which allows it to connect to any MP3 player, iPhone, iPod, table or laptop for shared listening. The power connector has a USB plug on the other side for recharging the product.

ChicBuds - Zebra Chicboom Keychain speaker

The ChicBoom Speaker, has an internal 2W power source that is rechargeable via a USB2 connection for about 4-4.5 hours of playback. The speaker is very compact in size at a ~1.25" cube. The cable connects in the back and the power switch is on the bottom.so it is mostly hidden from view.

 

For its size, the speaker is can get quite loud, and at full volume from an iPod/tablet, the music is still very clear and does not get distorted as would be expected with most MEMS/solid state speakers. The sound is strong at the high end than the Fauvett bird shapped speaker and coperable at the middle band. For its size and 2W power level, it is pretty strong in the bass, but unless it is sitting on a surface the bass is a bit soft and gets lost when it is “hanging in air” on the end of a keychain. The speaker stands out especially well with vocal music (pop, country, R&B, Hip-Hop) which appears to be optimized for the speaker.

A cute fashionable accessory for sharing music with your friends and having a fun product, this is a well made stocking stuffer style speaker and a great tag-along for a smart phone or tablet.
