WeMade Demos New Games

 We met with WeMade Entertainment and viewed some trailers for their latest game releases. The company made its name with the Legend of Mir 2—a 3D based MMORPG for the PC—which alone attracted 200+ million (as of 2008) users worldwide The company started with on-line PC games, but has changed in the last few years to focus on the mobile market. The games are designed for iOS and Android platforms.

They are releasing 8 titles now with games ranging from full scale MMORPG to social and casual games. As befits the company's roots, some of the games cross genres as a part of the on-line play. The games are playable in stand-alone mode, or as networked games. All of the games have social networking support and on-line connectivity on the various mobile platforms.

The biggest release is Project Dragon: The Roar of the Dragon. This is a 3-D MMORPG that can match the scale and graphics of an online PC game. This multi-player game has four classes of players and a community battling system that allows for various modes of play, from one-on one to parties, guilds, and territory battles. Characters and weapons can be customized.

Chaos and Defense mixes real-time strategy and defense in a two-player game. This game can handle simultaneous iOS and Android players with customizable character decks in any of the game modes: single, item, and ladder. You can challenge the AI or a real person on your mobile device.

A social network RPG called Viking Island allows a player to choose friends' characters to join in on boss battles. If you assist a friend with farming, you get in-game gold or items. There are 5 character types to choose from and the combination of strategy and social elements allows changes in strategy based upon your friend's characters. July '12

Pet Island is a cute social game that lets players farm and develop a town. The players can raise their own pets and play with them. There are over 200 customizable pets that react based upon the player's prior interactions. Social connections are through Twitter or Facebook where you ask friends for help in any of the various activities.

Goblin Mobile is a 2-D side scrolling MORPG for up to 4 players. There are five character classes with 80 different skills and weapons. The characters can be customized and have various quests to fulfill.

Friend Fighter is another hand-to-hand fighting game that mimics the older arcade games. This version allows multi-player fighting and high-skill combo attacks. Winning fights raises your character level and unlocks more moves and raises player levels to unlock more playable characters. The game can be played with friends or random fighters and the networking aspect allows you to step into battle for your friend.

Hero Square is a role-playing social game. You get to choose from 20 classes of characters to explore our world. The social parts are farming and building towns as well as the possibility to fight other player's heroes. The game starts as an environment and after some levels are completed, changes to a player versus player challenge.

If actual dancing is too strenuous, try Rhythm Scandal. The customizable 3-D avatar responds to touch controls while the location-based locator helps find people in the area. You can attend a virtual dance party with 3 other people and listen to various K-Pop and pop music while your avatar shows off your moves.
