July 2012 - At the San Diego Comic-Con Sony Entertainment once again had a booth dominated by their gaming platforms. Showing off their three platforms - the PS3, the PS Vita and their on-line gaming (for the PC) - they were quite crowed with fans seeking access tot he latest features, downloads and collectibles.

On the PC side, the floor coverage lead with their premier game - DC Universe which features a full character roster of the the graphics novel heros and villains. This game, has been improved though network improvement to improve latency, and now is fully playable in a wireless environment on most Ultrabook style machines & laptops with current generation Intel processors rather than just high performance gaming platforms. The game is also accessible on PSN for the PS3 and PS Vita platforms.

They were also demonstrating their new HMZ1 Personal 3D headset viewer. The headset fetures dual HD OLED screens, and a 5.1 surround sound processor, bringing a personal home theater experience to the user. After a little adjustment, (it is a tad front heavy) the unit actually fit well, and sooun provides a fully immersive experience to the viewer. At the show, they were demonstrating the unit with some 3D games, but it is anticipated that viewing movie content would fair just as well.

There was a pretty big line to check out the product, first from the interest in the personal viewing experience and second from the very nice and helpful assistants in the Sony booth working with the units. The HMZ1 is currently available at Sony Stores nationwide.
