Halo4 at Comic-Con 2012
July 2012 - Comic-Con 2012 featured a long line and large demo area for the long awaited next installment of the Halo saga. A simple booth - a circle of Xbox360s with a single giant sign announced the game. Unlike most of the demos that had 5-10 minute test periods in single player mode, the booth featured a 15min game time in full multi-player mode with teams.
As the teams were randomly selected from the lines, the game play is pretty representative of a real on-line community playing. The demo had several missions, and the character were outfitted with mid level weaponry, as to show some of the advanced play of the game. The missions, continue the sotry line of the series, and the game play, was very much the same style as prior versions. The action and graphics seemed a bit quicker and sharper than in the current release.
The booth also displayed several Halo collectibles, figures and custom consoles & controllers that will be available. Fans of the Halo series, will definitely want this installment, as it has been optimized for netowrk play over Xbox Live, and is much more responsive than preior versions.
