Sparksfly social learns your routine
April 2014 – In a briefing with Sparksfly, we got an overview of their new social media manager. Typically these “aggregation” style services and apps are targeted at the B2B marketplace. These are designed to produce metrics and quantify information on how well media campaigns are doing across trade press, mass market press and social media. Spaksfly has instead opted to create a product for individuals to use to “gather” the social media content that they are following from multiple sources (Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter, Google+, etc) into one location so you do not have to take to time to multi-check these sites.
Based on activities, information on your social network may be dispersed over these media networks, however, there is limited time during the day to track all of them. The app allows for the setting of patterns and sorting criteria to prioritize the content on these sites and display them in a single feed. The app utilizes fuzzy logic to adapt this prioritization based on the reader use models and time. This logic is applies to a real time engine that sorts and performed the content gathering by keyword, people, and a mis of keyword and people. The system allows for credibility ranking of the posts so those with low credibility levels do not have t be reviewed and are filtered from the combined feed. All the content however, remains in the original source area.
Sparksfly – new routine app screen
One of the challenges of managing multiple social network accounts beyond the collection of the information is the response to the multiple sites. The Sparksfly app allows for single point of response. This means you enter one response in the app and it auto-populates all of your defined social networks with the response. These include inclusion of content at Dropbox and Evernote. The system uses the fuzzy logic engine to actually “learn” your routines and adapts the data collection and response methods accordingly.
The app is currently available on both iOS and Android.
